Bak Kut Teh @ Restoran The Taste (品味吧生肉骨茶), Taman Sea, PJ

There's a newly opened Bak Kut Teh restaurant that taste almost as good, or perhaps even better than those in Klang. It is located in between Taman Megah & Taman Sea. Cleanliness: 10/10. Great place to have a meal with your family & friends.

The tastefulness of this delicacy always lie in the ingredient of the soup. The soup has a strong chinese herbal aroma, which enhances your appetite almost immediately. *hungry pangs*

Goes best with a little garlic + soy sauce.

Wantan Mee 雲吞麵 @ Restoran Chan Meng Kee (陈明记), SS2

Some said the best Wantan Mee shop around town - Chan Meng Kee Wantan Mee! I couldn't agree more, since I'm a hardcore Wantan Mee lover. The Wantan Mee here is said to be the best because of its fresh handmade noodle and the crispy and sweet Char Siew (BBQ Pork). The sauce is also yummy as they use "lat" (aka deep fried pork oil).

Of coz Wantan Mee is only complete with its WANTAN! (duhhhhh...) The wantan is OK~

Nonetheless, the Dumpling (水饺) is toothsome! It is mixed with minced pork and fresh prawn. MmmMMmmm, craving for 1 now!

Price:
RM5 / plate of Wantan Mee

Address:
Restoran Chan Meng Kee
32, Jalan SS2/66

Cupcake @ Wondermilk, Damansara Utama

Wondermilk - Emporium of super cupcakes. Heard many stories regarding their cute, lovely yummy little cupcakes. It's time to give it a try!

The settings of the cafe is just wonderful. Love their interior design. Love at first sight!
haha as it names implies - very very very VERY chocolate.

A cup of coffee? errmm nope i meant Cupcakes!

Cute, colourful icing over the cupcakes. Can't really recall its name.

A couple of roses to keep ur love ones happy - Royale Vanilla.

Foxy Red Velvet - if Im not mistaken, there is a layer of strawberry cream inside the cupcake that overflows when u bite it.
Tiramisu I Miss U - haha catchy name. Curly toppings that makes the cupcake rather interesting.

Another type of chocolate cupcake wif choco chips topping.

The decoration around the cafe is great. Very artistic.

Smoking area? Ya i guess so....

I felt wonderful - gave me the feeling of being in the movie "Alice in The Wonderland".

Grabbed a couple of cupcakes wif my buddies. Thumbs up! Yummylicious!

Nasi Lemak @ Village Park, Damansara Utama

Nasi Lemak - Msia very own famous recipe! As far as i know, this restaurant "Park Village" makes the best Nasi Lemak.

U can add other side dishes. It's not too pricy and most of the food are excellent. This is their paku belacan (looks like kangung belacan but it isn't!)

My favourite is the brinjal topped with sambal. *salivating*

A plate of sambal udang. Slidely oily, but worth eating!

The fried chicken is their specialty. It's really crispy + tasty. I suggest u to wait for the new batch of chickens that are just freshly deep-fried. Best!

That's the chinese lady boss that owns this restaurant.

The Q is usually super long. This is the place where u place ur order. A variety of Msia's cuisine.

Wantan Mee 云吞面 @ Restoran OK, ss2

=) back to my favourite food - Wantan Mee! *Can't live without it* Anyway, this Wantan Mee has been around PJ for the past 2 decades~ It's my all time favourite wantan mee stall ever since i was a child >.<

This family business has been doing extremely well for decades! And sometimes u can see all 3 generation in their family working there - AhGong (公), AhPa(爸), & AhZai(子)!

1 thing about QUALITY noodle is - hand-made noodles! Their noodle is hand-made, and thus always giving a special and unique texture compared to machine-made noodles. =)

Aaaa, my all time favourite is the dry, sauced wantan mee. The sauce is really yummy ~ love it to the max! It's rather different compared to many other places.

Last but not least, the wantan! The wantan is so slippery~ and it tastes great too! Give it a try, and u will definitely wana try the 2nd time!

Price: RM4/plate

Betty's Midwest Kitchen @ Aman Suria, PJ

Come n have an American Midwest Dining Experience in this restaurant! =) Best american cuisine I haf every tried so far~ They serve really Good, Quality, Unique Food!

As u can c right here, this shop is decorated with pictures of cute piglets >.<'' - they specialise in cooking pork using various methods - stew, grill, fried, bake, etc

This is their "jiu pai" dish - Grill Beer Braised Boston Butt with mash potatoes, peas, and carrot. Their sauce for the mash potato is DELICIOUS! Not to mention the sauce for the pork is extremely yummy as well.. Aaaaa u guys must TRUST me on this! Really great~ (RM25.50)

Of coz they do serve chicken as well - the Country-Fried Chicken. It is a 1/4 chicken marinated and deep fried for crispy skin and tender meat. Served with traditional country gravy, mash, and peas. *finger licking good* (RM13 - cheap for its quality!)
Back to pork =) - the Grill Pork Soft Ribs served with fries and coleslaw. It's really meaty >.< eat till u drop leh ~ (RM25.50)
The food here are really unique (looks like a slice of cake) - the Classical Meatloaf. A great classical Midwest style meatloaf that uses pork and beef for very moist and flavourful results! Served with mash, peas, and onion relish. (RM15 - cheap for its unique taste)

Close-up view

For hamburger lovers - the Jucy Lucy! A hamburger with melted cheese core inside the grilled beef and pork pattie. Served with fries. (RM13.50)

For pasta lover - the Crunch-topped Homemade Macaroni & Cheese. Macaroni baked in a thick creamy sauce and topped with crunchy breadcrumbs. MY FAVOURITE DISH! (RM12)

There's plenty of other food, but my stomach only can fit this much >.< Anywayz pictures are taken with iphone & a compact camera~ Not too bad la..

Roasted Duck Rice 烧鸭饭 @ Restoran Megah Good Luck, PJ

Hmm...today we are gonna talk about
Donald Duck Rice!

Anywayz, I'm more of a chicken rice person. But I never knew duck could be dat yummy until I actually ate at this very shop! And worst of all, it has been in my neighbourhood for ages...

This is only early 6pm and there is already a couple of hungry customers ready to eatmakanchi. Haihz, have to wait lor~

Eh, not too long. Ordered and it came in about 7 minutes. People loves this stall because its duck meat is almost fat-free! The meat is lean and tender. (However, don't come after 7.30pm. The quality drops and the meat is usually fatty after that)

U can add side orders such as the taufoo and black sauced egg for RM1 and RM0.80 respectively. The taufoo is exceptionally popular - sold out after 7pm! I guess because the taufoo is so SOFT & SMOOTH~ Trust me, It's Yummy!

Bdw, happy am I as the picture quality came out just as good as a DSLR! (it's an old compact camera)

Price: RM5.30 for a plate of duck rice

Address:
Jalan SS24/11, Taman Megah, (behind Fatty Crab, opposite Ming Tian)
47300 Petaling Jaya,
Selangor.
